    This Subdivision Completeness Check Application Web Form allows you to submit the initial application and updates to the existing application. Before you submit, please view the Subdivision Completeness Check Submittal Checklist to find the required and optional items.

    Please note the following:

    • All uploaded forms must be in PDF format (unless otherwise specified) and named for the file contents.

    • Important Reminder: No additional documents may be submitted when filing for the initial 30-day Formal Application Review period. To assist with your initial Formal Application Review, it is recommended to submit all suggested items as an update to your Completeness Check Application.

  • City of Austin Land Development Code requires Subdivision approval to precede the issuance of Building Permits and/or Site Plans. Both codes provide exceptions from this requirement which are reviewed through the Land Status Determination process.

  • The City of Austin SMART Housing program provides fee waivers for development permits in exchange for onsite income-restricted units. Applicable projects are granted a certification letter Austin Housing before submitting for Commercial Plan Review.

  • Has this project been identified as Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH)?*
  • The City of Austin’s program definition of Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH): a long-term, deeply affordable (rent should not exceed 30% of their income) rental housing program, combined with case management and voluntary supportive services for persons experiencing chronic homelessness and who have been referred through the Coordinated Entry System.

  • Residential Infill Projects

    Minimum requirements for an infill subdivision: A site not exceeding 1 acre, is a resubdivision/replat, is zoned SF1, SF2 or SF3, includes only land that was platted as a residential subdivision, and does not require a plat vacation.

  • The Subdivision Project Assessment has been created to provide for a high-level evaluation of the potential code compliance of a future subdivision application. In the last year, if this submittal was previously reviewed as a Project Assessment the first project submitted will be eligible for a 25% discount of the Development Services Department acreage fees.
