    The pool as described may be exempt from a building permit, however, work exempt from a permit must still comply with applicable Building Codes, City Codes, and all other applicable ordinances. Read more at Work Exempt.

    Trade permits may still be required for any electrical, plumbing or mechanical work, which are issued by Building and Trade Contractor Services.

    Concrete flatwork and stone pavers are exempt, unless elevated or covered. An uncovered wooden deck is exempt if it meets all conditions below: - 200 square feet or less in area - 30 inches or less above grade at any portion - Not attached to a dwelling - Does not provide egress from the dwelling - Not located within a flood hazard area (check at Flood Pro)
